OMG!!!

Hayleigh is about to turn 1!!
On Monday in fact!
So why did I have the 'hair-brained' idea to do this? Why didn't I do this sooner, Like last year or maybe 3 years ago when I had Dakoda?

I JUST BOUGHT CLOTH DIAPERS!!!!

Last night I decided I would wake up this morning and research the cost! I will save about $100 or more. I just figured on this for 1 year. I'm sure she won't be potty trained by 2, but the way my luck goes sometimes.....She might!!

I just placed my order and they should be arriving next week! AFTER she turns 1.
Am I crazy??? Or was this a good idea?

My name is Jessica and I am a cloth diapering mother...
Who woulda thunk that!
Maybe I should change my title to....Why didn't I start that sooner?

Most children don't potty train completely until age 3. (Sometimes longer sometimes earlier if you are lucky.)
They also resell well on Ebay.
Thanks for saving our landfills from extra waste! :)

We did the cloth diaper service thing with our oldest dd - it was great (a little stinky, but great). Just change the diapers, throw them in the pail - leave the bag on the doorstep twice a week & poof, new, clean diapers on your doorstep.

I do have to admit, she had less diaper rash & fewer problems than our youngest dd who did disposables.

Good Luck!

That is such a great idea- I should totally think about doing that. Now that Macy is almost potty trained but hey - I will need them for the next one. Hoping to get a few weeks diaper free in before #2 arrives- but I don't know if that will happen with the move and all. Let me know how it goes!

Good luck. We have considered it a few times, I guess the initial cost can be a little high, but overall seems to be much cheaper! Let us know how it goes!

Hi Sitsa! Don't worry everything will be okay..My sister used cloth diapers on her two kids before...it just needs patience.

My son wasn't PT until he was about 3. My daughter just turned 3, and she's no where near it! Good Luck with the cloth diapering!

I would love to hear how that goes.
I thought about cloth diapers with my first two, but couldn't keep up. My oldest was really spitty and we both needed many clothes changes in a day. I started using the diapers to catch the spit-up. They were awesome for that. If we manage another, I plan to try them again.

I never did cloth diapers. But my daughter did go to regular underwear when she was only 2. So hopefully your daughter will too, and then it would be a good savings for you.

I have decided to cloth diaper number two...and I'm nervous about it!

What kind of diapers did you get? Bum Genius sent me their 3.0 that I'm going to try out on my 18 month old.

I have some Fuzzi Bunz and Bum Genius 2.0 and 3.0 for my 2-year-old. We use Huggies most of the time, but my daughter loves it when I put the cloth on her. Much more comfy!
